Sardina Studio
Privacy Policy
This policy applies to all games made by Sardina Studio — what we handle, why, and how it is protected. What is handled differs from game to game.
01 Information We Collect
The items below are the combined list across all of the studio's games, and what each game handles differs. Where a game has no leaderboard, nickname, account linking or purchases, none of that data is handled for it. You can check what a given game handles in the Data safety section of its Google Play store listing.
a. Information you provide
| Item | Purpose | Stored |
|---|---|---|
| Nickname (2–8 characters) | Shown to opponents in versus mode and on leaderboards | On your device and the game backend (Unity Gaming Services) |
* Not collected in games that do not use a nickname.
b. Information generated automatically during play
| Item | Detail | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous player identifier | A random string issued by Unity Gaming Services, not linked to your name or email | Leaderboards, saving progress, matchmaking |
| Gameplay records | Score, play time and count, selected character and item IDs, versus results, mission and daily-reward progress, unlocked content, whether an ad was watched, purchase outcomes | Saving progress, leaderboards, aggregate statistics |
| Device information | Device model name, app version, operating system | Labelling cloud backups, troubleshooting |
| Purchase receipts | The receipt and signature issued by the app store | Verifying purchases and granting items |
* What is handled differs from game to game. Games that keep no records on the backend handle no anonymous identifier or device information, and games without purchases handle no receipts.
Statistical gameplay records contain no names, email addresses, contact details, or precise location. Only numbers such as scores and times, and a fixed set of predefined field names, are transmitted.
c. Information collected by advertising SDKs
Our games are free and may include advertising. Ads are served through Google AdMob and Unity Ads. These providers may collect the advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID), IP address, device information, and ad interaction data to deliver and measure ads, in accordance with their own policies.
- How Google uses data from partner sites and apps — policies.google.com
- Unity privacy policy — unity.com
Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent dialog for personalised advertising when the game starts, and can change that choice at any time from the in-game settings.
02 What We Do Not Collect
- Name · date of birth · gender · phone number · postal address · email address
- Government-issued identifiers
- Precise location (GPS)
- Contacts · photos · call logs · messages or other personal files on the device
- Payment card details — payments are processed by the app store and we never receive card information
Even if you sign in with a Google account, our games do not receive your email address, Google account name, or profile picture. The only thing received at sign-in is a one-time authentication code used to link the account.
03 Where Information Is Stored
| Where | What |
|---|---|
| Your device | Game progress (encrypted save file), sound and language settings, selected character and items |
| Unity Gaming Services | Anonymous identifier, nickname, leaderboard scores, statistics, and — if you link a Google account — a backup of your progress |
| Payment processing (Google Play), ad delivery (AdMob), sign-in (Play Games Services) |
Cloud backup only happens if you link a Google account. If you do not, your progress stays on the device and is lost if the app is uninstalled.
* This differs from game to game. Games that use no backend store everything on the device only, and games without account linking, leaderboards or purchases do not involve the second and third rows above.
04 Sharing With Third Parties
We do not sell your information. Apart from the processors listed in section 3 (advertising, analytics and backend operation), we do not share your information with third parties, except where required by law.
05 What Other Players See
This applies only to games that have versus play or leaderboards. In games without those features, nothing about you is shown to other players.
When you play a match with another player, your nickname, profile picture number, best score, win/draw/loss record, and in-match score are shown on their screen. This information is sent to their device only for the duration of the match.
If you appear on a leaderboard, your nickname and score are visible to other players.
06 Retention and Deletion
- Information stored on your device is deleted when you uninstall the app.
- Information stored on the backend is retained until you request deletion.
- Statistical information is retained in a non-identifying form to improve the service.
07 Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of your information by any of the following means:
- In game — sign out or change your nickname from Settings.
- Uninstall — removes all information stored on the device.
- Backend deletion — email us at the address below, including your in-game nickname so we can identify the anonymous record.
- Opt out of personalised ads — on Android, go to Settings > Privacy > Ads to delete or reset your advertising ID.
Users in the EEA and the UK have rights under the GDPR, including data portability and the right to object to processing. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
08 Children’s Privacy
Our games are not directed at children under 13 (under 14 in the Republic of Korea), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that we have collected such information, we delete it promptly. Parents and guardians who believe their child’s information has been collected may contact us below.
09 Security
- Game progress stored on the device is protected with AES-256 encryption and HMAC integrity verification.
- Cloud backups are transmitted and stored in encrypted form, so the backend operator cannot read their contents.
- All communication with the backend is encrypted using HTTPS.
10 Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will post the change and its effective date on this page. Material changes will also be announced in the game.
